18'' rims, tires are 215/40. I actually have no idea what springs I have and what the drop is. The previous owner put the lowering kit in, I never asked anything about it, so I have no idea how big a drop it is, I leave it lowered in the winter so I can't really compare. I have a picture of mine beside a 300E at stock ride height though, there's quite a difference, especially at the back.

I was looking at some insurance quotes today, I can make the payments easily so she'll be back on the road soon.

I need to do something about the grille, otherwise I'm pretty happy with the car.

Had some time to take a few more shots of mine today

I am thinking about lowering it another quarter inch and maybe getting some half inch spacers for the back wheels next time i have my shocks replaced since they don't make this wheel with a deeper lip for the rear like AMG does

Couple interior shots taken at night so not very well lit, there is a bit if wear on the drivers seat, steering wheel and the center armrest/compartment is pretty badly beaten up, check straps on it are snapped and lock clip is broken but my new one i ordered off ebay should be here sometime this week, i also plan to redo my sirius later so its tied directly to the main wiring and not sticking on my windshield, the only thing that does not work on the interior any more is the automatic headrests, i believe the teeth on the track inside the seat are stripped because the motors still seem to be working on them, i plan to fix them soon

My headrests will go up, but not down. I have to hold down on them for them to retract. No idea what to do with that. I also have the cracked piping on the arm-rest and it pinches really hard when you put your arm down on it! I have to figure out what to do with that... What was mounted on the right side of your center console? Carphone or GPS or something?

just buy them and put them on now, you know you want to! you just have to take off your wheel, put the spacer on the hub, and put your wheel back on!
Don't forget to buy longer lug bolts though....

Yeah, it was a carphone that i believe was a factory option on this car but i don't know why they would put it there when the car phone jack is inside the center armrest

I will probably just get the spacers for the rear for now and do the extra lowering when i do the wire harness

The more you lower your car the wider the wheels are pushed out.

Figured I should put a pic of two of the car I am always asking questions for:

I think I'll be looking to make a change on the wheels and eventually the ride height. For now though, she is a nicer driver.

Thanks. It is pretty much stock........but it is a great daily driver and I might wind up spicing it up a bit as time and money permit. I thought I liked the wheels until I saw some of the evo's, Carlssons, AMG's, etc. I have a lot to learn about the W124....but it's all good!

The E420 looks like a regular W124 though, unlike the V8 W124s

An E420 is a V8.

500E/E500's are on a league of their own.
