Red face 1995 E320 Electrical Gremlins

I have a 1995 E320 that I have owned for about 5 years. It has 180,000 miles on it and never had any problems until now. The car has ASR which is working at this time flawlessly. I know about the wiring harness problems in the past and I know it was replaced about 7 years ago. Here is what it's doing:

Windshield wipers, rear defroster, electric seats, sunroof, electric windows all inoperable.

I'm trying to decide if it is even worth the money to put into the car at this point with the age and mileage. Any suggestions and or advice?

The progression:
All of my stuff stopped working...
I heard this might fix it, and for the money...
It appears to have fixed it...

As of right now, about 2 months after replacing every fuse, I've never lost my wipers/windows/sunroof again.

You could be having an issue with the convenience relay which is located (at least on my car) under the rear-right seat bottom.

Does anyone know where the convenience relay is on the sedan?

Should be in the exact same location. There is this matting under the seat bottom that is laid in that you may have to move out of the way to find it. I'd save replacing the convenience relay for last however, I'd start with the cheap fix of buying the copper/ceramic fuse set and trying that.

I just had a similar strange issue. Seats only worked with door open, none of the windows worked, sunroof didn't work. Swapped my #2 (convenience/comfort) fuse and it all started working. My next step would have been to check the relay though.

I took my #2 fuse out and put it back in and everything is working as it should! Thanks a bunch. When it gets warmer out I'm just going to replace them because they look a little tired! Thank you all for your help!

Glad to hear it was likely the fuse! Grab the copper/ceramic fuse-set and have some fun swapping all the fuses out. I did a continuity test on my bad fuse and it passed. I noticed it mainly crapped out when it was very hot. I guess some slight expansion in the metal caused it to lose continuity.

My 320-E, l998 has only 58000+ miles onit and is currently driven less than 200 miles monthly. It has started giving readout, "oil sensor defective". Dealer could find nothing wrong. Current oil has about 1000. miles on it. Any DIY suggestions?

courtesy light control module?

the courtesy lights in my 1995e320 cabriolet do not come on. I have changed the bulbs and cleaned the contacts. Similarly, the map lights do not come on when opening the doors. Is there a courtesy light control module? If so, where is it? Or does the lamp control module in the fuse box control these?
Thanks from a newbie

Hello Vipers1973. I have been experiencing a similar problem. Things working sometimes to all working to total loss of:front and rear windows, sunroof, seats, locks (using the FOB), trunk release, steering wheel adjustment, and mirror adjustments I've replaced both front door modules. Could this be a bad ground wire? Any ideas? Thank you.

My '99 sis the same thing. There is a tool that came with the car. I just used an allen wrench (remove drivers side overhead light lens) and located the hex type screw.
