Looking for DIY article on replacing bushings in shifter.

So, as some of you may already know, my shifter feels as loose as a 70 year old prostitute. Excuse the analogy.

Any DIY articles there, with pictures preferably? I'd like to get this done as soon as possible, before I replace my shift boot and knob.

Cheers all!

There are, you just have to search the various Mercedes web sites to find the information. The most important information is how to press in the new bushing in the tight space below the shifter. The front bushing by the transmission is easy.

Thanks buddy!

Thank god I have access to a lift, then... :P

If not, I could just use my forklift.

I'm thinking of having the bushings fabricated from bronze (I think that is what they do to improve shifter feel).
