500E Parts
Hi there, new to the forum. I just picked up a 92 500E for a steal of a deal and I am in the process of bringing it back to its former glory. Nothing major is wrong I am just giving it some TLC that it needs.
I have a couple questions:
the sliding console door that is below the drivers armrest, is this a specific part to the 500E or will a 300E of that same era have that same wood grain door and latch?
Is anyone selling a left headlight? I will take a pair if you don't want to split them up.

I've got a pair of correct 500E headlights for a 92-93, and a pair of standard w124 Euro headlights for a 86-93, AND a pair of standard USA w124 headlights for 94-95. Where are you located?
As for the wood piece, any w124 with a passenger airbag should have come with this part. They are indeed interchangeable between 300E, 400E, E420, E320, 500E or E500. Of course, the donor car will preferably have the same grain style, IE: Burlwood and not Zebrano.

400E
Pretty sure the 300CE from 1990 on has burl. My friends 92 has burl and I parted out several 300CE's that had burl. A 93 and a 92 model.

They would have had one if they had a passenger airbag (which was optional at the time). I think Rik just wanted to illustrate that a coupe could have burlwood as early as 1990. Airbags became standard in the US in 94, I believe, so at that point any w124 had the console.
