ok guys,as some of you know by looking at my pics i had a single 15" sub woofer in my trunk.well ,although, it hit pretty hard im tired of it now.i need more.
so i went and got 2 more 15" subs to go with it. now i am going to run 3 15" subwoofers instead of 1.i need to get a bigger alternator still, and i believe the s class has a 180 amp wich will do fine. i will be running the 3 subwoofers on a 4000 or a 5000 watt amp. i havent decided fully on that yet.here is the issue, the subs need 3.5 cubic ft of airspace each.3.5 cu.ft x 3 = 10.5 cu. ft. of space needed. my question to everyone is , will a 10.5 cu.ft. box fit in the trunk of a 1990 330e? i cant find the dimensions for the trunk anywhere.can anyone help me out with this information?

Luggage Capacity: 14.6 cu. ft.

I think that's accurate. Saw it on several sources. The entire process took less than a minute. Next time, search better. :P

And why 3 15" subs? You realize you're ruining the sound that way. You're ruining it with anything more than a single 12" at most.

Good music is about having the FULL range of sound with purity and good volume, not how much your bass will go up before it starts distorting, you know.

A set of Rainbows and a nice 10" or 12" sub in the rear panel should do fine. Look up the W124 stereo upgrade on our forum, you'll find a nice chunky thread filled with excellent ideas and reviews.

He never said good, he said serious. The above proposed setup is serious.

Are you going to have three independent boxes or one custom enclosure?

I just really really really like that quote!

Anyhow, 3x 15's at 4-5k watts!! Post pics! Sounds wicked!!

HAHA, on another note, systems like that always gave me foul bowel movements, could have been my taste in music tho!!

I think just bolt axles and wheels to the subwoofers instead and drive that around ! Way too much booom booom booom - why do you need to rattle everyone else's windows and ears ?

Better you buy an enormous pair of top quality headphones and plug them in !

Then you can have as much bass as your head can take and no-one else has too listen too it !

Sorry I like good music too - but not having my doors blasted off & rattled !

one big 10.5 cu.ft. box slot tuned to 32 hz!! i will probably have to build the box in the trunk because i doubt i will be able to slide a box of that size into the trunks opening.

i agree ,distortion sucks , but i am using sql subs made to give big boom cleanly. i know not to turn up the gains so high that it distorts.i have been putting big, loud clear systems in my cars for about 18 years now. i am not new to the audio scene. i hate when i see someone have a bunch of distortion and try to call it god sounding music.

just because it will get loud does not mean i run it like that all the time. there is an appropriate time to boom and a time that its inappropriate.it only gets as loud as you turn it up!!

heres what i have now i will be removing the rear seats when we get a second car and i will wall these two and two more where the seats were. they will be wired at 2 ohms and be run on 2000 watts instead of the larger 4000
watt amp so that i dont fry alternators.i have videos of it on youtube under the name gchildxxx1.feel free to watch and rate!

So you are basically going to take up the whole back seat area with subs? Remove the rear seat and there is still no pass through.

That is a huge box...nice though. You do know that the amp is not putting out 1000W. Wayyyyyyy to small. Maybe 350-500w.
