C36 springs for E320

I am trying to lower my '95 E320 wagon by about 1/2 inch, and I need front springs. My friend has a set of stock C36 springs, does anyone know if these will even work on my car, and if so what the effects would be? Thanks.

I would look hard at a set of Sportline springs, which are known to do just what you want.

As a guess, C36 springs will be stiffer for added weight + added power, probably overkill there even if the height worked out.

If'n it was me and I owned those c36 springs,
I'd sell the c36 springs on ebay,
and buy a new, stock set of Sportline springs.

The difference in cost will still be a bargain for you,
and doing it once, right, is a bargain in and of itself.

The C36 springs arent mine, theyre my roommates, was thinking about buying them off of him...How much do a set of sportline springs run? And if i couldn't find anything, would the C36 springs even work on my car?

I doubt I would even try with the C36 springs,
but others here would be better to answer.

MB Sportline springs are going to cost more than aftermarket springs, in area of $100 a spring new.

Here is my silver wagon about 12 months ago on H&Rs, 1.4" lower. I replaced these with Sportline springs, over ride preference, 1/2" drop from stock.

Hm, i could do that i think. Do you know where i can buy sportline springs? I havent found any so far. Also, how did you adjust the SLS when you put in the H&R springs?

There is a small linkage underneath which can be tricked into any ride height as default. I did not do the work, but search these boards and it is explained occasionally. Pretty simple.

Those taillights are the $300+ LED taillights which rarely show up on ebay, and or show up on germany ebay. The LEDS are a huge improvement in visibility and the tint looks great on silver or black cars, imo.

Plenty of threads here about diy tinted taillights, try searching more, you will find.

I personally would not put the C36 springs on your wagon. Your wagon is a good bit heavier than the W202 and may end up riding very poorly....

Yeah, that's the general consensus...does anyone here know if the E320 wagon comes with spring pads in the front? I cant quite tell by looking at it and i haven't had time to pull the wheel off and really look...

Yes, spring pads in front and rear. You don't need to pull a wheel off to see the pad.

First, determine what pad size you have now. The spring pad sizes are generally are in 4mm increments.

One half inch is roughly 12mm or two sizes thinner than what you have now. Hope this helps!
