I acquired these seats a few days ago. I originally thought they were Recaro classic, but after doing some research i came to the conclusion that they are Recaro classic CSE seats. Top of the line seats in the 80's. They have been reupholstered, but is crappy. I will end up redoing the seats and fixing things that are wrong with it so i can put them in my w124. they are so so comfortable

thanks guys. So ive done a lot of digging and found a picture of another set of these seats that leads me to believe that they are not reupholstered.

well i paid quite a lot for them. I purchased them from a guy that knew how expensive Recaros are. I saved up for about 6 months to be able to purchase them. On top of that they came from a w124 so i dont need to change or modify the bases. just bolt them up
