Looks great!

I have installed the S600 OEM A/G grill insert ... not a great fit with the pre-94 grill. The quality of the pieces are top notch, it just doesn't fit perferct.

How is the build quality with your S600 grill insert? Is it one-piece? I've seen aftermarket inserts that are one-piece, painted a high sheen black and then painted chrome where the OEM extruded aluminum strips would go.

I'll try to post a pic very soon.

* The quality of the grille is pretty good (from the looks of things) .... and it is one-piece

* The website does say 90 Euros or something like that ..... I sent an email to the address on the website and asked him if he'll sell me the grille for 55 euros (I saw some threads on bnzworld where some guys bought it from him for 55 euros).

So, email the guy and ask him if he'll sell it to you for 55 euros - I'm sure he will ......... you just pay thro' paypal.

Question Would you recommend the Matrixcar grille?

You say that the quality of the grille is pretty good from Matrixcar, but then you also say that it is one piece. The previous post indicated that the one-piece grille had painted chrome strips rather than removable aluminum strips like OEM. I can’t imagine that painted chrome strips would look like they were high quality. I think the grille from Autorice claims to use OEM chrome strips. I would love to have one of those grilles, if I thought it was a good quality part and that it would look as good in person as it does in the photos. Does the Matrixcar grille look as good as a W210 OEM grille when you park right next to the W210 or some other new Benz with the newer style grille? I am leaning toward ordering a grille from Matrixcar, because they are in Germany and I was hoping they might be sourcing the part from the same place as the OEM grilles. Would you recommend the Matrixcar grille?

I bought one once before from a different vendor. The grille was broken, they double charged my VISA, they charged me 25% restocking fee when I returned the broken grille, and they refused to fix the double charge. I finally won with help from VISA, but it was a nightmare that i do not want to repeat. Again, would you recommend the Matrixcar grille?

I didn't claim it used OEM strips, never have and never will claim falsely!

I sold most of the parts to Matrix so they're the same products.

Mine are $70 plus s&h. they're available for 86-93 or 94-95. I also have 86-93 center star grilles all for W124's

Sorry Speed

Sorry for putting words in Speedracer888’s mouth. I must have been mistaken. As for the grille from Matrixcar, I purchased the grille and I thought it was junk. It was broken when I received it and then they sent me a replacement grille that was also broken. Broken or not, I think the flexible gray plastic grille was very poor quality, it didn’t fit very well, and it had no business being installed on my beautiful car. That was the second time I tried to get the S600 style grille and the second time I received a broken grille of poor quality. The grilles were purchased from different vendors and they were very different in the way they were made, but they were both junky parts that were delivered broken. I may have given up on getting a grille. I painted my OEM grille insert black and then replaced the chrome strips. It looks very good. Even though the OEM grille looks very good, I still like the S600/newer Mercedes look and I am considering getting the, much more expensive, solid chrome grille that was posted by "Menaceboy". He found an all chrome grille that really does look like it would be an improvement over OEM. It is much more expensive, however, so I am a little bit scared about getting burned in a larger Internet purchase.

for a '95 you might as well buy an OEM S600 grille from MB and shave it down to fit your car. the quality will be uber great as the price will be uber expensive. around $300.
