Good question.
I have bulb out up there as well, on the passenger map light side.
I am probably going to just put up with it as that is one big one piece unit and goes for about $600 bucks to replace. Mine already has cracked and I don't have any info about removing it to replace the bulb. Next time I'm at the dealership I will see if they can look it up or offer advice.
Not sure if the Classic Center can help, but you can contact them as well.
Keep us posted,
Bob

Indeed it is!
But, as I stated before, the unit in my vehicle is cracked near that vent looking area (temp sensor?). Any attempt for me to wedge and pull that clear lense out makes that crack open up so I gave up on it.
(You don't need to get at the ruddy screws, just need to pop the clear lenses out, which is what your pic shows already done, and the bulbs are removed as well.)
Nice find Stormy. Hope all is well is Oz. Were suffering from a snow impaction here is Chicagoland.

That is it. By the picture it looks like the plastic lens just pops out.
Is there any advise to where and how to take the lenses out.
Thanks Brian

Ahh details details... hahaha
I would have to say I agree with RBYCCC and KLOBBR but as to where the "locating lugs are I cannot answer as I don't have one.
I hesitate to say that the article I found on this (dated 2010) actually says (and I quote)....
"...Yes, you must first remove the rear view mirror - it is on a ball joint that can be pulled out. Then you can remove the cover containing the lights and switches...."
I am assuming that the inference here is that you then have access to the inside of the cover/lens so you can exert pressure on it from behind.
It would appear that the advice on "how brittle" this assembly becomes over the years is indeed a common problem so extra care is needed less you end up with a nasty crack or even breakage. Replacing would be a b1tch - just ask Klobbr about the rear "roof bow" !
PS Love the Coupe in the garage !
Restore it you must, Drive it you will Luke Skywalker

You don't have to remove the mirror...just use a thin blade screw driver or a kitchen steak knife and pry out.
Lens may be brittle, tab may break, but just replace the lap and use a bead of silicon sealer to hold the lens in if it doesn't snap back in...
I think the R129 uses the same housing and lens..
