W124 Option Codes

Hey, guys. I'm new here, I drive a '92 230E and I recently checked my vin number on a vin decoder website and there are a few options that are apparently fitted to my car that I don't quite understand.

The codes are in the attachment below, but I'll narrow it down for you guys.

Specifically I don't understand these codes :

SA Code 348, 362, 467 and 620.

I especially don't understand 467 the "Electronic Locking Differential". Does that mean my car is fitted with ASD ?

Any help is appreciated guys, I really want to get to know my car more

All this can be confirmed with a talking with the MB dealers donut girl!!
Haha, thanks for the clarification. However I'm a little bit confused, when I purchased my car last year, it did not come with the telephone and the instrument cluster lacked anything to suggest my car came with ASD, as in it didn't come with the ASD light inside the speedometer and my warning lights end at "ABS". Here's a picture for what I mean,

This is how the instrument cluster for a car with ASD is supposed to look like

This is how mine looks like,

So could the previous owner have swapped the instrument cluster ?

Well, where I come from it's perfectly the norm to purchase a car without any history and a sketchy past. People misplace things like owners manuals and the like. Anyways, I purchased my car off a lawyer last year in August, the car has had 2 previous owners. The first owner being a UK citizen. My car was imported into Malaysia with many other W124's from the UK to be sold en masse in South East Asia. W124's are especially popular in Malaysia. Basically, my car is a grey import car as Mercedes did not offer W124's for sale officially in the Malaysian market up till '93/'94.

The reason I purchased the Merc was because my previous car got totalled after being hit by an oncoming out of control van and plus I was always a gearhead. Although I didn't have any expertise in older Mercs, my father introduced me to his friend who had a Mercedes W124 for sale. I took it for a test drive and had it inspected by a local Mercedes specialist and it was in great condition, no leaks or rattles. The only issue was the paintwork that was faded due to being parked outside under the sun. So I bought it for about $3,000 or RM14,000 and I have no encountered any issues with it so far. Just your regular oil change and replacing of worn out parts.

Recently I discovered a website where you can get the build sheet for any Mercedes. So me being very curious, took the vin from my car and tried it. The build date checked out, my car was built and delivered in May of 1992, just as stated in the bill of sale as well as the vehicle title. So, that's my story. I also just got into the whole vintage Merc thing. Haha.

Same problem with mine too.

Even I have an instrument cluster showing up to ABS and not SRS. I am searching for new cluster housing unit but not able to find it. The part number attached behind is #1245400348 but the MB delaer says there is no part matching this number.
If anybody knows its part number then kindly help me out in these.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Your speed on your speedo are in miles .You need kilometers .So if it came from the uk thats the reason i would think. And ASD is for the telephone system is it not . Most did not have this fitted .Only the wires to fix it in later. The speedo is just like mine .And i have a 260e 1989 .

Rahul look on the speedo and some place you will see a circle with numbers like a clock .This will tell you the year of manufacture . Iwould say you have the right one for the uk only thing thats needs changing is the miles to kilometers for your country. You can get the dials for them . Mine had the date and year of manufacture on a tab as well .By checking this you will tell if its been changed.

Lift the paper lable off gently in your first picture, and the year ID is underneath it ,you can just see it The number you need for replacment is on the speedo dial itself .This is what you need to replace it.

467 refers to central locking and instruments with English language lettering.
