Xenon in a W124
.....Canadian W124:
I have installed 6000K HID's in my Euro headlights but they are on all the time cause the H4's are running off DRL's, how do I get it so that I can switch them on when I want? I want to run with markers (corners) only during the day, as opposed to HID's 24/7. I was told there is a module or relay in the passenger footwell or something that when removed, disables the DRL's....can someone be more specific??
Thanks in advance!
PS. You know where I can get some rims for real cheap over here on the east coast?

I'm pretty sure you can get them from any fine performance shop catering to Euro's.
I've driven plenty of cars with xenons as standard equipment and though they are very bright they only illuminate to a certain height so as not to blind others. When I switch the high beams on that beam starts where the low xenon beam goes up to.
When I go through the mountains the high beams still need to be used since the xenon low beam doesn't project far enough depending on the hill. Guess on flat land it won't make that much of a difference since there's nothing above 5ft.
You blind people cause you need to custom fab some glare shields (i am still waiting for mike690003 to tell me how he made HIS..
)
How is that possible to have bi-xenon in a dual filament, single bulb stup (H4)? 8000k are actually not as bright as my 600K or oem 4200K xenon. As the light temp goes up, brightness is reduced but color is increased...

The oem 4200k is only bright when it's used with a projector. When my car is next to a car with oem 4200k ... his is yellow compare to mine. My light covers his. But like i said ... unless they have projectors.
