New engine is installed for some fine tuning. This new build is so far beyond the original that I don't know what to expect as far as power and delivery. It's as unchartered as much as the original project.

Love the build, it's very impressive, I'm currently waiting on a speeduino ecu for my m113 (which I have ordered because of this build) , any advice or pitfalls with the speeduino. I just want to get it running at frist and then plan to turbo it after that

The Megasquirt setup is so worth the extra money in my opinion. The Speeduino is basically a board that you need to build the connections and the harness yourself. This isn't too terrible but fumbling with the board outside of a case and the terrible connections used on the board are. The MS3Pro module has automotive quality harness/connectors with gold plated pins and even the wires are labeled so you know where they are coming from and going. The case is very durable and what you would expect. It still takes a bit of knowledge to get setup but dealing with a homemade quality system got old quick.

The Tunerstudio software is absolutely amazing and there's almost nothing that you can't do with it. I am now working on utilizing the 'sequential shift cut' feature so it will cut the ignition timing momentarily during each upshift when using my paddle shift. This will take a bunch of load off of my transmission during shifts and give me a nice exhaust backfire during each upshift. EVERYTHING is adjustable so again you have to know what you are doing but highly recommended..

I would agree, I received my assembled speeduino yesterday and the quality does seem low, I see they now sell a system called the dropbear which seems to be have been aimed at addressing this. Have you made the switch to MegaSquirt? I'm going to plow adhead with it either ways, the only thing I'm stuck on at the minute is whether or not I need a Vr conditioner, did you use one?

The most recent video of the engine running is with the MS3Pro. Yes, our crank sensor is a VR analog sensor and would need the conditioner installed on the board. It's not hard as I installed my own. The camshaft sensor is a digital hall-effect sensor. The MS3Pro can accept any input for either wheel, the crank or camshaft which is another bonus.

Some points you will need to know if you run the Speeduino. I am running sequential 8 cylinder ignition which the Speeduino cant do since it can only control 4 cylinders. It has to run waste spark so these settings may be slightly different. The main settings you need to know are that it's a 60-2 crank wheel with the missing 2 teeth being 300 degrees after TDC or 60 degrees before TDC. I think I recall Tunerstudio using ATDC for the tooth #1 angle. . I also think the setting for the coils on the Speeduino will be 'going low'. You will need to build or buy coil drivers too. I am running this guys X8 coil driver but I don't necessarily recommend any of his products https://www.everythingfuelinjection....ule-p202026628

Let me know if you have any other questions. It's quite a bit to get it all working but you will learn a ton along the way.

Thanks bicylindrico, I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can, completely new to this, had you alot of experience with standalone Ecu's before you started? thanks for your help, I'm just waiting on some parts now, I'll order an ignition module and currently waiting on a cable throttle body with TPS.

I did not have an extensive standalone background but a strong fundamental knowledge of what it takes to run an engine being a dealer tech for over 20 years and independent for close to 10 years. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions that come along with your project. I struggled on my own but am willing to share everything I learned.

That's great, thanks very much, it will be a couple of weeks before I receive everything I need to run the engine but I'm sure I will have plenty of questions then, I'm sure you will be sick of me then

I threw a duck tail on her. Not really a recommended upgrade as none of them actually fit without hours of fitting

Love the wheels and am planning to put them on my ‘91 300TE. Any issues in the couple years that you’ve ran them? Do you still recommend 225/45 & 255/40 tires? In your video you mentioned rolling your front fenders - was any rolling needed in the rear?

Port and polish?
Blueprint?
What tool will you use to synch the carbs?
What kind of horsepower and torque do you expect?

The heads and intake were port matched
There is only one carb, nothing to synch. I used a wide-band O2 to set fuel mixture
It should be making somewhere around 375-400hp

The wheels have been great and tire sizes are perfect after to switching to the 255's on the back. No rubbing but my car doesn't steer as tight with the steering rack. Front fenders are required but rear is fine. Also, the rear lips are too stiff to roll.

Double 4 barrel. That will definitely need to be synched. To an extent, the supercharger can mix the fuel air mixture more homogeneously, but the back 4 or the front four could be getting less or more or vice versa.

OP what a fun project!

M113K will slip right in there. Headers and a pulley for truly stupid power.

Be sure to stitch weld the flexible chassis. After doing so you won’t hear the windshield moving around when pulling into driveways.

Want to really get sick and wrong? The 275 will fit under that hood. Bigger turbos, more charge cooling and software for 900 smooth horses.

Deep rabbit hole you have fallen into. Red pill definitely worth it.
