I had 18's on my car for a while. They rubbed like crazy so I took 'em off.

And why would you want to put Dub's on a Benz guy. Get some Monoblocks instead.

You can fit 19's and 20's on a W124...in the TRUNK.

Why the hell would you want to make your car look like a ghey a$$ SUV? Sell your E320 and buy an ML if you want to put stupid rims on your car like lexani's. They are garbage and ghetto.

18's are the biggest you can put on a W124 and have it look normal. The car came with 15x6.5's from the factory, thats a plus 3 combo. even if you lower it as much as possible, 19s and 20's overall diameter will be way too big and look STUPID, i've seen it done hahahahahahahah

You'll be losing a lot of ride to look pimp.

There's a significant loss of stopping power with these rims. They have considerably more rotational kinetic energy than stock rims at the same speed. Plus, you'll be taking a chance with bending a rim on any road that has potholes.

You can put 19's on the E class, no problem. A friend of mine put some on his and droped it 1.5' front 1.3' rear. LM1 polished lip silver not chrome or you can do monoblock w/rivits and polished lip. NO CHROME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you swear and type like a thug, you'll get responses like that. Since when are 18's small? 19's will fit, but good luck: a) finding rims for mercedes applications in 19x8 and getting tires to fit that, b) turning, c) your car will look like an SUV and since I know bling (ugh) and looks is all you're after, and not function, I know you won't be happy with the choice.

It's your car and your money, I guess this board DOES need some humor....

E320newbie, thanks for the compliment, but your language was a bit loose in your first post. I wasn't surprised to see answers in kind. I simply choose not to lower myself with that vernacular. I agree with you that everyone has their right to customize their vehicles, as long as it doesn't affect others on the road.

E320 are you sure your friend's was a W124 and not a newer W210. Perhaps his was a 500 with wider front fenders. I'm rolling on 18 LM1's , they come only in 1/2 sizes and 35 eta I believe. So your friend has to be rolling 19 1/2's 35 eta. NO WAY will that fit, WITHOUT alot of mods especially after you said he lowered it as well. On my LM1's I had to even stretch my tires 215/40's to make 18's fit under without rubbing.

*Newbie Don't get offended if you get treated like donkey ***** when you come off like an a$$. Cheap chrome 20 inch Lexani's aren't going to make you a baller kid. Like the saying goes money doesn't buy you class

If you have money, you can roll up the wheel well so it(20 inchers) will rub less, but you will have to change the shocks and springs to handle the increased load, and i won't advise you to go more than 25mph coz you'll hate your car.

but that's just me, somone who rode in a 95 e320 with 19 inchers...

You guys, just look at the clearance in the wheel wells, that car I bet has NEVER been driven with those wheels, if it has, it probably only went straight. You could not turn the wheels without hitting all sorts of stuff (inside wheel wells, fenders etc) Plus, if you want your car sitting that high, it's up to you, but it doesn't look good at all, it looks goofy.

In the cardomain pics, it is also evident that the car could not be driven like that, look at teh offset and how far out the wheels stick, again it wont drive. pretty funny how both sets of pics were taken RIGHT out front of a wheel & tire shop huh...

Zorro,

I agree these fools can't even look at a pic and make a educated comment.
Look at the front wheel and tire see how it's already up against the rear of the fender well. No way can you even turn like that. Cheap chrome rims(rip -off Katanas) with fake a$$ Benz center stickers they got out of a cereal box.....

That's ghetto ball'n at it's finest. Put some real time and money into your car than maybe you can be called a true ball'a, instead of getting hyped over some ugly $600 imitation rims.

19'' Are The Max

19'' Will fit fine with some mods. and you will still be able to turn with 245/35/19. 18'' Is the safer way to go.

A lot of people back home (Indonesia) believe that 19s fit under a normal 124's fenders if they are worked on and the springs are stiff enough.

I wouldn't bother honestly - unless I had a 500E

if you just lower you car, you will likely be pleased with your 17 inch rims as they are. It makes a big visual difference when the car is lowered. It may not be worth your money to go one inch larger with the same style of rim. I guess it is personal preference though.

Having run both 17's now 18's on my lowered W124 I can say there's a huge difference. The 18's fill out the wheel gap alot better as well look visually more aggressive than 17's.

^^ I can't agree more! I run 17" AMG Mono II's for the winter and my 18" Carlsson 2/6's during the summer and the difference is night and day..
