95 E420, where's the obd2 port for cels?

The dealership told me it's OBD2, even though it's a '95. So I'm looking for the OBD2 port for the scanner and I can't find it under the dash. All I CAN find is 2 diagnostic ports under the passenger side hood near the firewall.

One port has an 8 hole pin out with a small button and a light. The 8 holes do not fit the actron obd2 scanner, the are aligned in a straight line.

The other looks like a Formula wire harness connector, it's circular not 8 pronged like the normal OBD2 connectors I've seen. However, this one is located near the ECU (which in located in this battery looking thing under the hood).

Anyhow, my question is where is my OBD2 port so I can plug the scanner in? I'd like to check my code for free instead of paying a stealership.

Thanks in advance.

So the only way to check for CELs is thru the dealer or dealer diagnostic tool? There's not service connector to short, huh?

Hondas are so much easier...

OBD2 was not mandatory until 1996.

Take it to Autozone, they read codes for free, and may be familiar with the location.

OBD-II wasn't on 95's til all cars have them on 96 and newer. You can try to find it but it usually under the driver dash, you should have a flap door and the port is there but if you don't see a flap, then you don't have a OBD-II on your car.
