One-touch sunroof question

Guys, help me pls. I HEARD that my sunroof should open with "one-touch" function. It doesn't work: I'm holding button for 2 sec but it doesn't open/close without my arms any comments?

My 2000 E320 doesn't have one-touch sunroof either. I heard they got this feature in 2001. Strange because I think in the 90s they had one-touch. I wish there was a way to retrofit...

Yes, and my '00 E320 has a stop in the middle. The sunroof will open half way while holding the switch and then stop. I have to release the switch and reapply pressure for the sunroof to open all the way.

What if you guys replace the sunroof switch with the newer ones from 2001 and 2002??? That might work, no?

I believe, it's not the switch problem.... We have to reinstall "head" unit. Will talk to my dealer tomorrow.

The '01s were the first to offer this. "One touch" works on the opening cycle only. You need to hold the button forward for the closing. The newer Es it's One touch for both directions.

That is the way it is supposed to normally work.

Your window cables need to be tightened or window mechanism needs to be repaired.

My 2002 has the one touch open but not to close! It is absolutely annoying having to hold pressure to the switch to close up completely. Anyone have a fix for this???
