20 %,Thanks to Tom from Art of Tint
It was time for a little shading and some privacy,and the new look is an added plus I feel.I want to thank BklynBenz,and Fazooley for the recommendation to this gent,Tom ,who did a craftsmanlike job,using new felt-type guides in the door panels so as not to scratch the tint.Hey Whitey,whatdya think broski???

Thanks Carls,and its Solar Guard 20% I believe. Dave,not only can I watch them flicks but I can sleep in there too!Now I gotta get time for the Calipers.

I have a friend at my job with an 03 E500,he had Lorenzo do his in the Bx.Charged him $50 more for a 35% job,I feel I got a great deal and hopefully some of the local NY'ers will seek you out.Dont forget to tell them you do the high-end Dealership work in the Big Apple.

Was it a pain to install the felt lining? Did they have to remove the door panels?
I had the Huper Optik tint put on my car a few months back and I asked the morons at the tint place if they can put the felt on. They said they have never done it before and I would not need it. I already see some vertical lines on my front two windows and am planning to have them replace the tint since they gave me a lifetime warr. Hopefully they will do it and not blame it on the car.

No tint at all on the front winshield,thats the stock window.

Im not privvy to the type of solar guard used(Maybe Tom,MB Tinter, could elaborate),just know its 20%.As for the danel stuff,its like the soft side of a felcro connector,you know,one side is stiff with the hooks and the other side is soft and fuzzy.He used the soft fuzzy stuff in a strip with an adhesive on the back,which sticks to the guide at the top of the panel.Moleskin is like a leather I believe,it wasnt that.

SB,it looked to me like he just used a screwdriver to loosen the top of the door panel,and pull it back.No panel removal.Its been four days,,I rolled them down today with no marks at all.That was my biggest concern too.

Gee,,I guess its a blackish color,,not blue or any other color.Definitely in the black color hue.
