For those who wanted to see them, I did new photo's of my car with the Steve MBenzNL Mods..

All that's missing is the folding mirror switch which is enroute as I type this from Holland to be installed by my stealer.

Ok... I'm a real moron now! I posted this on the W210 forum... it should be on the W211!

I will now move over to the W211 form, THEN hit the post button!

my wife would leave me!

Seriously, the washers are completely unneeded as the seat heaters in AZ.. Airmatic sounds good, but costs too much, and Keyless Go same thing (Steve said he wouldn't touch it!).

Next is ventilated seats...

Does it not bug you a "little" having xenons without washers since they only came that way?

Funny you should ask that question.... yes.. the **** SOB in me doesn't like it for that very reason, but the price to do it would have been crazy.. and in the Volvo the washers make more of a mess than do anything of use (here in AZ).. so I've convinced myself that I'm better off without them. :p

You must me a lot like me - I have looked at numerous W210s in the past - most without xenon headlamps. I knew if I purchased one that would be the first thing I would change since I had a 1999 E55 with them - they make such a difference at night. I knew if the car didn't have the washers it would bug me to death. Auto leveling is another topic.

Yup my Volvo had the xenon, and the park assist... and to drive the MB without both was just WRONG.

For me, just as WRONG is MBUSA not making those standard and raising the price a few grand.

What's amazing is that most dealers do not order their new cars with these options. I was at my local Mercedes dealer yesterday and I didn't see one new E-class on the lot with Xenons. No new MLs with them either - they did happen to have a USED 05 ML with Xenons, though. What's amazing is how many S350s and S430s that are bought without them.

The local BMW dealer does seem to order all 3 series with them - and their reason is that people expect a BMW to have them. I would think people expect a Mercedes to have them too.

that is my gripe I tell ya!

I went to look for a car (I hate to order and wait!!) and they had 5, the most of any dealer at the time... all were STRIPPED! They must think diesel owners are cheap (Stupid American MBUSA perspective on their customers).. I wanted the works! And I got vinyl seats for Gods' sake!
