Burned rubber!

Yes, just like a teenager I floored my little E320 and smoked my tires at take off and.......amazingly I burned a patch when it shifted into 2nd gear.

My point was that I haven't burned rubber since I was a teenager and man was I surprised that a car this heavy known as a family sedan was capable of doing so. Hey, it's my first Benz, give me a break. But thanks for feeling the need to respond.

that's weird, I found it much easier to burn my tires in the Civic (much less grip, I guess) than in my E-class; those tiny 13 inch wheels...

Don't forget that the civic is front wheel drive. You can break traction with just about any front wheel drive car because the drive wheels have a lot less grip.

Sadly, with AWD, I never get that thrill.

LOL, got any videos?

When it comes to spining my wheels, it all depends on the surface I am on with my E320. On concrete I can get them to chirp for a second or so, on some other types of concrete, they don't break traction at all. This is just me simply flooring it from a dead stop. Did you use the brakes to start the wheels spinning?

My civic is far from stock, but it doesnt have mad torque like my benz does. I can burnout with my civic through 3rd, and im sure FWD has a lot to do with it. When i burnout with my civic i dont go anywhere, unlike the benz. The benz is still a torque monster none the less.
