Do I need new bolts when putting on E55 AMG 18" wheels on '97 E320?

Anyone know if I need to buy new bolts? Or would the factory ones from my E320 work with these new wheels?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!

99 E320
dyllanc-
I have a 1999 and wanted the newer, split spoke design which looks flatter
and a bit more elegant than the earlier designed split spokes (I felt). So I
had same question. ....and the answer is that they use 14mm lug bolts.
You and I currently use 12mm for our standard rims.

Actually....

Actually, I wanted to put on 1999 (W210) E55 wheels on my 1996 E320. Do I need new bolts? Anyone know?

From the picture, I think you wanted to put on 2003+ (w211) E55 wheels.... which looks nice... but i heard there might be offset and bolt issues. did you get the wheels on? Has anyone done this? Let's see some pictures! (W211 E55 wheels on a W210)

Someone should start a thread on which oem wheels from which models are compatible with which cars....

You don't need new ones but you may want new ones because the heads don't stick out as far on the orginal bolts and chrome looks better if yours are silver.

I have 2002 E55 AMG Wheels on my 96 in a staggard setup. I used the original bolts at first but the heads were deap in the holes.

The W210 E55 rims fit with no problems but you need to go a size smaller on the tire size that the E55 to prevent rubbing. The E55 has 275s in the back and 245s in the front. So go with a 255 or 265 in the back instead of the 275s and 225 or 235 in the front instead of 245s.

Wheels On....

I put these wheels on yesturday with E55 stock size tires. Haven't noticed any rubbing issues.... but only went for a quick test drive with no other passengers in the car.

Do you have stock suspension? or did you lower your car?

Thanks for the 411!

Mine suspension is stock. Sounds like you will be fine. Try going over a speedbump or around a sharp corner at a good speed.

Nice Ride! Just checked out you picture page!

Where did you get the side skirts and the amg rear bumper....
I want to put the whole amg body kit on mine. Looks tight!
also, looking for an amg exhaust if you know anyone.

How much did those parts run you?

Drove around with the new rims today. No problems, except the Dunlop SP9000 tires are damn loud! Much louder than my michelin 16" tires. Is that normal?
What brand tires are you running?

Install a louder exhaust and you won't hear the tire noise any more...
I am running NITTO 555 tires. A lot of the noise is because of the tread design. The Nittos are not that loud. I got all my AMG parts in Florida but none of those shops are business any more as far as I know. All of the AMG body parts fits perfect except for the 2000+ front bumper. The W210 had a face lift after 99 so there are big differences.
