1998 E300 TurboDiesel
Front License Plate Mount
The front license plate mount was stolen off of my ’98 E300 TD and the only place I have been able to find one at is the MB dealer. Now this is a simple piece of plastic to which you mount your license plate/license plate holder. The dealer charges $110 for this. If you’re familiar with this piece, can you suggest where I might find on? It may be difficult to find because the diesels have holes for the mounting screws wider than those for a U.S. plate. I do not believe this piece is the same as the standard E series front bracket due to the volume shipped to the U.S.
Anyway, if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.

Geo, I've got an extra front license plate holder in black for a '98 E. The part number is: A210 885 02 81
It's black (Schwarz) and apparently specific to the USA. Never been on a car either.
If you want it, it's yours, just pay the shipping.

Jam E55, I went to the site you gave. No such item there, but I will use them because they have many hard to find items. Thank you.
Ricky E430 and FatChance I will take you up on your offers if you don't mind. The two drilled holes on my front bumper measure 11" apart, as opposed to a bracket for a U.S. plate which are closer together. But the part that came on the car has holes on which to mount a U.S. plate. Would you like to see a photo of what I'm talking about? If this seems like what you have, let me know how I can get my information to you. Thank you again!

The license plate holder has holes @ 11 inches on center for the mounting to the bumper. Looks like it should fit.
