............the fronts will probably rub. The car will look a bit too low in front. I have tried several suspension set ups and H-R's with #2 pads with 19 inch rims did rub when steering was turned all the way to the left or right.

No problems here, I have #1 with 19's. 245 and d 275's. Just make sure your fronts don't stick out too much.

I would have all four corners rolled. about $75 for front and $75 for the rear. I also depends on tires, two tires can both be 275mm but one is much wider than the other. Nitto's are very wide and cause rubbing. Donlups and others have a much softer tire shoulder and have less rubbing problems.

...........the rubbing I experienced in my case was of the inner part of the wheel/tire against the inner wheel well in the front on both sides. Therefore, rolling the outer fenders will not solve the problem. Going with thicker pads or a less squared off tire as previously suggested might solve the problem. Depending on the rims you use, you may not need to roll your fenders if the tire on the rim is not sticking out. BTW I had 245/30/19 fronts and 285/35/19 rear. Rears were just fine. Fronts were the problem. The tires were T1R's. One option is to use 235's in the fronts, instead of the 245's you were considering.

...........in another thread you mentioned that you had some rubbing. LINK

Did you just roll your fenders? I ask because mine definitely did rub, but the rub was in the inner wheel well, not the fenders. So I am interested in knowing if you discovered a fix for the problem.

On my old 19's i had zero problems, went I went to HRE I had rear brake rubbing and fender rubbing. I used spacers and had the fenders rolled more. The fronts were rubbing on the fenders as well and I the rear of the wheel hubs shaved down 8mm to bring them in closer. I have these problem because my wheels were made for a C55

Depending on your et, proper setup is 245/35/19F and 275/30/19R's. Not sure about the E320 fenders but you'll probably have to roll all 4 corners as what members have said to prevent rubbing. Using #1 pads all around with H&R springs should equate to 1 finger space between the tires and the fender. Also if you're using stock shocks you might want to have those replaced with Bilsteins as they won't hold very long.

I think i have one finger space in the rear but my fronts are tucked. Seems like my car has settled a lot over the last year

Guess you need to do more hard launches so your rear will balance the fronts.

............Fender rolling is not hard. Any reputable body shop can do it. Costs anywhere from $50 to $150 per fender. My point is that rolling your fenders solves the problem of rubbing in the rears but not in the fronts. In the front, the rubbing is against the inner wheel well so fender rolling will not help. Bottom line is trial and error is unfortunately what you need to do. From personal experience, I will avoid HR springs and #1 pads with 19 inch rims, because as you can see, they do rub even in E55cent's case. Rolling your fenders is not a cure all for rubbing problem. You may wish to consider thicker pads such as #2 or #3 pads.

I NEVER had rubbing issues with my Brabus 19" staggered rims. The only reason I have rubbing issues now is because I bought HRE wheels that came off a C32/C55. If I would have ordered my wheels from HRE for my car then I would have zero problems.
I sold my old wheels to my buddy who has a lowered E430 with H&R's and he has no rubbing issues and his fenders are not rolled. Also he is using 245/35, 275/30/19
Good luck.

..............looks like from all the info above that whether or not one has problems depends on the rim one chooses.........which makes sense. I keep saying that rolling fenders is not really the solution if one has rubbing in the front, because the rubbing is not against the fenders. My rim ant tires were tucked underneath the fenders, so the fenders were not the problem.

your car is not even lowered, so you won't expect any rubbing anyway.

I am guessing 235's up front seems to be the obvious answer to those who chose incompatable aftermarket offsets. And, the more rounded edge tire makes sense as well. But, what do I know; I am new to this forum and to W210s. BTW, speaking of Bilsteins: Are 2000 E55's equipped with Bilstein HD's from factory? I have no clue.

Hey E55,,,, u seem to be the most experienced around in 19" stuff... well i got sports suspensions by MB originally and i am thinking about getting my hands on some better road grip... since i am currently running on original size 16s i got none.... but thinking of 19" reminds me of the hard butts i wished for riding my previous AMG... Will i be loosing the soft ride?? what do u suggest in that case?
