Left front fog light replacement

I'm too lazy to do a search. I suck.

That being said...wifey's 2002 E320's left front fog light is DOA. I found the little "hatch" underneath the car in which I can see the light fixture and surrounding spaghetti wires.

Can I get this light at MB? Can I spare myself the agony and expense and get it at Napa or somewhere? It is CPOed, so is it still under warranty?

Help me out for I am getting nagged at by my wife and want to get her off my back. Not really, but it sounds good.

I don't know.

I got underneath the car last night and popped the hatch and looked around. Nothing appeared to be melted nor out of whack, but then again, I had an obscure angle and couldn't see everything in there. I probably will try just the lighbulb first and see what happens.

I have an appointment at the MB dealer to replace the windshield washer reservoir as it has sprung a massive leak.

You know, I'm beginning to not like this car too much as it spends way to much time in the shop as opposed to my garage.

I will see what they say at the dealer. I won't let them change out anything that will result in excess fees to me if it just needs a bulb.

Yea the hoses on the bottom of the washer reservoirs like to slip off and leak. You should just try replacing the bulb first. Get under there and remove the old bulb. Then you can take it to wal-mart or the auto parts store and get the right replacement.

Okay, now if the wire harness for the foglight has fused the bulb in the socket, how would one go about obtaining another harness?

Well on mine the hose just wasnt staying on the fluid reservoir tight so I just slid it on as good as I could get and put a wire tie on and tightened as much as I could with some pliers. Anything like that I try to fix myself.

You need to scroll under and its easier to replace the bulb or assembly, right beneath the foglight, remove the cover and you will have to unscrew the assembly. I did this few months ago, good 30 minutes R/R

If they get wet they like to short out, happened on mine twice. My car is lowered and it floods down where I work, a bad combination.
