w210 e55 AC,electric fans problem.
Hey guys,
I have a little problem with my AC in my 210, 02, e55, I noticed that two small electric fans upfront are not engaging when I use AC, so I my AC isn't cooling all that well.
Has anyone had this problem before? What can be wrong? I checked the plug and it seems that there is no power coming to the fans, but I'm not sure about that cos I tested it with the little bulb and I suspect that power can be irregular, like On - Off depending on the temp.
Could it be some sensor?? Or fan motors?
Any advice would be nice! Thanks.

Yes It can be a couple things Ill let some of the other members chime in on this, but I believe that the accessory fans are a common problem on the W210. I know I had to replace mine last year.

I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with it. If I connect the fans to the battery directly they should spin right? Is it how you check if the fan is ok?
The other thing I was thinking about was relay, I know BMWs often have burnt relays. Or some sort of sensor.
Anyway guys, do chime in of someone has had similar problem or experience fixing it.

Several items to look at
Fuse ok?
Connections good?
Fans spin free?
A/C system may be low on charge...Low Pressure switch shuts fans off
Relay..
Fan Motors...Dont think that they would both be dead

AC works! It blows cold, but two small electric fans are not working.
Actually it's one fan, second is being driven by the belt.
I checked fuses, they are ok.
Any idea on where relay for the fan is?
I will try to check the fan motors today.
Don't want to go to the dealer though ;-(.
