I LOVE the W126 S-class horn. (pre-1990)
It sounds really loud and sharp (definitely very German)
I wonder if I can just swap them to replace my Dodge-neon-like horn? If so, where can I get a pair?
thanks~

no clue,
I agree with you. I replaced mine with Hella Supertones, which are relatively large. I mounted them at their original location but I would really like to install both behind the grille to really get all the blast out loud and clear.
I would need to design a bracket for that purpose.
I got mine from Susquehanna. Hope it helps.
Cheers.

There are two types of supertones. They have differnt frequencies. Make sure you get kit 85115, which comes with a 500Hz high tone and a 375Hz low tone:

These come with standard 6.3 mm spade lugs, so they are plug & play.
Cheers.

The Hella supertones are used in Europe for public service vehicles, where the two tones alternante by means of an electronic relay control unit. Bosch has their version and sound identical. Lovely sound.
Cheers.
PS. Have an MP3 file of the supertones I could PM to you.
