I am an IDIOT!!!! But you do NOT have to!!! (Tail lights)

I bought a set of 2000 style tail light off ebay from VertexRacing

Yes, this is my second purchased from them.
1st time I bought a set of clear fog light for my E420. (the fog light using H3 bulb and level adjuster is dummy -doesn't even work) It looks good, but the light beam is terrible.

So I figure, that's my luck..but since they have fast shipping, I will buy a set of 2000 style tail light from them.

They claim no modification required! ( I email them before I purchased) When it comes....I have to spend one hour using Dramel to cut and shave huge pieces along the housing to be install in my car.

That's not all, the tail light voltage connecter plate so flimsy, it actually loose from the housing!!!!! ( Super clue time )

I am NOT trying to be a bad guy, but I did give them second chance!!!! For pete sake.........DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, is it my installation skill or is the the tail light can't align properly.

I meant the fender piece does NOT align w/ the truck line.
( hmm...how do I explain this..........)
I have tried to push and screw tight so the gap between the trunk and fender will be uniform.
But no matter how hard I tried, .....the GAP is so prounce!!

you may want to think this in reverse: you modded the trunk lid piece. that
is the one you need to shave more to bring in line with the fender piece. i'm
guessing that the trunk lines are higher along the horizontal plane, yes?

okay, that vertical gap between the two light halves, right? i think i get it
now. sounds kind of like the Vertex units are a scootch off in positioning of
their fasteners. unfortunate, because I dont think there is much you can do
to relocate these on the light. the only other thought I have would be to
take the Dremel and elongate the mounting holes on the sheet metal of the
car. you would then have a chance to move the light a bit more horizontally.
philosophically, but I really don't like that idea, though it shouldn't hurt, you
think? I just went down to look at mine but it's apples/oranges in a way. I
did the same, but I have MB smoked light fixtures off an E55 so these
matched up better, I'm guessing.

That sucks, I bought mine off ebay too, not sure from who, but they have been great. I had to dremel them down, but they look great and no more bulbs going out.

I bought mine from Ebay too. I had to have an electrician do a job before they would work. If you played with dice like I did as a teenager ,you now know what it's like shopping from Ebay....

Okay..now please suggest INEXPENSIVE CD changer for my 10 year old 420 (must play mp3 or wma files. I do have Stock CD-changer, Bose system.... but again, I really don't want to spend much, as long as it plays mp3)

Do I need any adapter? Is it easy DIY?

thanks~
