I've only owned this car for about 18 months. Currently replacing fan regulator and this site has been a big help with that. Thanks! I had a window regulator go out. The only big issue was with the transmission computer. My wife dumped a large glass of sweet tea down in the shifter area about 6 months after I got the car. The car went into limp mode of course. Removed, cleaned and dried computer. Had a local MB repair shop reset it ($100) and had no more trans problems for a year. This past week it went back into limp mode. I disconnected the battery and It seems to be okay except for a hard shift every now and then. I May be replacing the transmission computer soon. Anyway, I love my diesel and am happy to be a part of this site.

First timer here....
1999
E320 sedan
8,590 original miles.
Purchased it from my parents a couple of weeks ago - they had 3 cars, and this had the least driving time. Basically was driven about 10 miles/week for 13+ years, until I bought it and it has become my daily driver. I've since put on over 1200 miles (of which 650 was driving it back to California from the Pacific NW).

I drove an '02 E55 with 210K miles, and I COULDN'T BELIEVE how solid it felt. The car seemed like it wasn't so well cared for and was wearing out, but man did it perform great, and aside from inevitable electronic niggles, the CAR itself felt completely drum tight. Very impressive.

e320 2000
e Class Mileage
I have a 2000 e320 bought in 2011 with 76K original miles.
Now has about 88K and still delivers greater than 30mpg at 70mph.
Can't go wrong with MB

2002 E320
Just bought an '02 E320. My first MB. It had almost 119k when I bought it. Previous owner changed the oil at 116k using Mobil1 5W-30. I've decided to change it again at 120k just as a baseline for my own maintenance. It's not perfect but for the price I've decided to keep it. Minor problems with the instrument cluster but your forum has encouraged me to look into doing it myself. So far it's a very nice car.

1997 E320
Year: 1997
Model: E320
Country: USA
Mileage: 152k
Just bought it. Mint Interior. Just ordered Window Regulator, Hood Ornament, Hood Latch Strap, Gauge Cluster, Glove box latch, 2 new tires and a JVC KD-HDR61 head unit. Engine, tranny and drivetrain is pristine. Guy on ebay had no clue what he had. $3300 was an easy steal!

2001 E320 4matic wagon and 2000 E320 sedan
I have two;
2000 E320
USA
127K miles
2001
E320 4Matic wagon
USA
75K
Both cars are solid, refined, substantial. They look brand new. I love to drive them and the 4Matic in the snow with snow tires on is unstoppable(unless the snow is 2 feet deep).

MBWorld Fanatic!
E320 1998, over 217K just an update. On my last service B, quite a few things I need to do:
Valve cover gaskets
Motor Mounts
Transmission Mount
Minor suspension work, about $300 worth.
Alignment
Just cost of ownership, regular stuff. This car still runs like a top, body and interior in great condition.
