How many miles do you have on your E Class?

MBWorld Fanatic!
Rubber deteriorates over the years so those leaking seals will eventually have to be addressed.

<Sigh> I"m sure you're right about age eating rubber seals. Also see that around windshield and rear view mirrors. For the time being adding oil is a lot cheaper than getting it fixed. Pulling engine to fix rear seal is probably an EOL event. For now, it only leaks a quart or between changes and maybe a half pint of power steering a month.

Wow, she's a beauty. Is it white or grey? Mine's silver/grey. 1st owner named it Wolfgang and I still call him Wolf.
Your headlights have that cloudy old plastic look. Mine did too. I did the sanding polish work on all 4 and they look like brand new. It took about 30-45min/light. I'll send you a link if you're interested.

Year: 2000
Model: E320 Base
Country: USA
Comments: Almost 176k miles. Lasted 4 cross country trips. Sadly the sunroof has gone bad so when it started leaking she got silicone gel to seal it. Oil changes every 2500 miles. Been in the family since 2007. At home repairs is what makes this car truly fun!

I have a 1999 E320 wagon with 286k miles, still runs strong. It has a couple of gremlins, but nothing I can't or haven't been able to fix or work around. Mostly freeway miles as I travel 600+ miles weekly usually.

7/30/24 update. Power steering finally blew high pressure hose. Replaced cannister; leak gone. The rear seal leak turned out to actually be valve cover leakage. That got worse over time. Finally replaced them this past spring. Air conditioner serviced once again...every 2 years it has to be complete evacuated and recharged to keep up with Atlanta heat-n-humidity.
