Supersprint Exhaust

Hey guys,

After 2 months of waiting, I finally received my SS exhaust! Sound is great! It's not loud; only if you punch it, but it's still pleasant to ears. I think it sounds like our G35 sedan---but better. It gives you that growl and not annoying. Here are some pics in different angle. I was asking the mechanic to trim the sport bumper to make the exhaust to have a tuck in look, but he told me the pipes would hit to the chasis if the muffler brings up more. So now, it just sit right under the bumper. Oh well, I don't think it looks too bad.
Performance wise, I can fell it more on the highway after 60mph. I don't have to floor as much to get the car to 80+ in a shorter time..
Overall, 10points for it!

Enjoy!

Looks nice! Where did you get that bad boy? Is it a custom piece for W210 or a standard SuperSprint muffler that happens to fit? You got a part number? THANKS!

Is your car an E320 or an E430? I like the exhaust.

Thanks for the kind word guys. I got it through the Supersprint NA. It's the muffler with oval tips. I also got the connecting pipes. It is designed for E320and E430 as indicated in the "birth certificate" from SuperSprint. I have a 320.

Here's the link:

http://www.supersprintna.com/categor..._model%5D/213/

Wait time: 1 month

I will try to put up a clip by using my Dig. Cam Can someone tell me where I can host a link for clips? Thanks

Jon

Future Mods: UD Pulley from Evosport and a chip from the local tuner here in VA. *From what the mechanic told me, he said that Powerchip are crap.

BTW, I just found out modding is addictive. The downside is $$$$. I am also getting rims, Coilover, brakes & rotors, chip and pulley for my C230 coupe

Real nice but like you said moding a car is addictive but all that money goes to waste, but if it makes you happy who cares, i droped like $40K in my 99 E430 but will newer regret a penny i put in that car.

So you got the connecting pipes to replace the resonator? You removed the resonator, correct?

I thinks so. That connecting pipe goes right behind the cat. I didn't pay attention when the tech installed it. I took it out for a spin last night. It sounds better and better

I will try to make a clip tonight when I get off work.

It should because the hanger on the SS is adjustable. I have the muffler hang to the bumper as close as possible with one finger gap in between.

i know this is an ancient thread, but i'm allergic to bullsh*t even 3rd party or hearsay...i'll explain:
the mechanic that told you he couldn't cut into the bumper was either too scared, lacking faith is his own ability, or ignorant; in either case you were misinformed.
i installed a renntech (sebring) box in my e430 with stock trim, lowered, etc. myself, using a high speed cutter and a wheel to make the cutout for the muffler per M.B. FACTORY SPEC. there is a provision for this taken into consideration by M.B., who bothered to write a procedure and draw a template available in WIS.
anyway, for those of you installing a muffler in the future, go for it. it just looks waaay better (and if you notice from the side view photo) tucked up under..the muffler should follow the profile of the bumper as seen from side, not create right angles like above.
