Rear window fell of track....what do I do?
Thanks,
Paul
Shop might quote you anywhere from $100-500 for labor, and sure mark up in part. I know some shop even state that the whole motor need to be replaced (crook !!!), which run the bill to a $1K easily.

Very straight forward job to replace. Look around the DIY section, there's a great write-up with pics of how to do it.
I removed the inner door panel and pushed the glass back into position and then wedged it with a long piece of wood. This isn't a long term fix, just until the new regulator arrives.
And here's the good part, I found a regulator for $15.59 at www.partstrain.com It hasn't arrived yet, so I'll reserve final judgement until it does but it could be the silver lining to the bust window cloud.
I think the trickiest part of the job will be drilling out the old rivets (one of mine has 'stripped' already). As the post above says, should take an hour or two first time around. Just take your time and have a beer to hand.

How did you replace the rivet @ the 12 O'clock position without removing the "sheet metal"?? The other 3 rivets were easy to replace.

I punched the center of the rivet out with a punch and then drilled it through. Key thing is to use the right sized drill bit - if you've popped the other rivets out already, size the drill bit using the holes.
I had one rivet which simply span on the end of the drill bit so I ground that off with a grinding wheel attachment.
I've done the windows twice now and have the process nailed down.
Good luck, take your time and have a beer,
