Blown Shocks???

I recently ran over a pothole. It bent my rim a lil bit (front driver side) but no leaks or anything and everytime i let go the steering wheel, it still goes straight. So Im assuming the alignment is still fine. Unfortunately, the (front driver side) was lowered .5-1 inch lower than its usual height for some reason. My question is do you guys think i blown my shocks or i messed up my alignment???

If I were you, I would check the spring perch above the pads to make sure its not bent.

I would sure think that if you bent a wheel, the alignment would need to be checked.

If you live near me then I could recommend a great Indy shop, but personally Id take it to the dealer otherwise. Unless you know of another very thorough shop in your area. Slightly related note...The same thing happened to my friend in his civic over the course of a few months. It turned out that he had nailed so many potholes that his subframe was actually seperating. I know that hondas are not built to the same quality as Mercs are, but you get the idea. A sudden drop in ride height in one corner is a serious matter.

I took my car to firestone this afternoon and had a computerized wheel alignment. It turned out that my front tires werent aligned and my camber was way off because of the stupid pothole. So they recommend me to get camber kits. I also had them checked my f and r suspension, whoa theyre fine and no rust or anything at all They charged me $300 for everything, these covered four wheel computerized alignment, front camber kits and labor. I guess thats not bad at all.

It was corrected and the height in the front kinda even, not perfect though because they saying the manufacture thing wont allow them... ohh well! but overall.... im pretty satisfied
