what kind of stuff are you familiar with? I built the engine in my mustang, changed trannies, clutches, rearends, etc so im pretty adept mechanically, but working on something new is always a bit intimidating.

2001 W210 E320
just as a reference, i bought a certified 2001 E320 (white, black interior)- one owner, pristine condition - with 48,300 miles from a MB Dealer in Rochester, NY for $20100 (in august 2006). they wanted 22900 but i negotiated it down. there was also a 2.9% finance going from MB so i jumped on that too.
if i were you, i'd def. buy from a dealer, you'll get a full year warranty with unlimited miles, and the cost premium isn't much higher than getting from a private seller. the dealership i got mine from is John Holtz Mercedes.
