Spring Perch woes...add me to the list
Before yesterday, when I pushed down on the front passenger corner I'd hear a slight squeak. I assumed it was either the springs or shocks that I was about to replace. It was actually my spring perch flexing ever so slightly.
So,
Any tips on trying to get one of the 3 MB dealerships in my area to fix it for free?
If they don't want to do it, how much is it going to take to fix it?
Thanks,
C
(OK...now where's my bus pass?)

and yeah i agree, this is a serious safety issue. just hope no one has to die for them to relize they screwed up. but thats the way life works. one has to die to get results...

the way i understand it, if the local dealer agrees to work on the car and sends a report to MB USA, MB USA will pay for the repair. You have to find a dealer who's willing to help. It's most likely your local dealer, especially in affluent locales such as NoVa, who doesn't care about 10 year old W210s when they can make big bucks on servicing and maintaining brand new Benzes. Of course the stealer weasels are going to tell ya "sorry MB USA won't do a thing" story and blame the HQ
