I dont know what 2000 blinking mirrors. If they fit, physically, then the only
real concern is to take to two leads from the LED light array and draw one to
POS and the other to NEG. simple, right?

not really. you'll need to get from the mirror housing, through the door,
into the door conduit for wiring....and out into the kick panel. from there,
it's a pretty simple termination to GROUND for one lead. for the other, you
need to terminate it by tapping into the switched-hot-lead which powers
the rear turn signal. you'll find that underneath the door sill.

that's the capsulized version of what you're trying to do. for the details, try
this
and see if it'll help. sorry, i didn't take photos back then. go slow and
measure 3x and cut once. USE A VOLTMETER....as well as a CONTINUITY
CHECKER !! take your time. it's an easy 3-6 hour first time. having done it
now, it'll prob take me about 2 hrs to do.

Thanks for that pdf file. But that's not really what I'm looking for I have a 97 e320 and the 2000+ mirrors + motors has different wiring connectors to connect to the 97 mirror connectors. I'm looking for that diagram to make the 2000+ mirror motors work with the 97 car. The picture of that silver benz is what I'm looking for do you have that cars' wiring diagram?

Do a search on it..its been done SEVERAL times
Early W210s to Model update and the 202 C class owners were doing it also
Yes they bolt on..and you have to run wires for the turn signals..the wires are in the plastic tray that run along the doors...its EASY!

I put a set of 2002 blinker mirrors on my 96. I reused all of the original wiring and the motors from my 96 mirrors and installed them in the 2002 mirror frames. This way they had the same connections and memory features as before. Then I added a wire to tap in to the rear blinker signal wire under the door sills on each side and a ground wire for the blinkers on the mirror covers.

It is pretty easy. The mirror motor is held in with 3 screws and then there is the wires for the heated mirror plug. Swapping the mirror motor saves a lot rewiring. Using the original connector in the mirror saves one from rewiring the connector in the door.

Thanks

In addition to the blinker mirrors, I also installed the side door moldings, side skirts, rear bumper, rear window shelf with wide brake light, chrome wheels, and brake lights from a 2002 W210 / E55 to update the look.

i've done it on my c36 a long time ago,
it's very straight forward, and if you don't have the same connector pieces, just split the wire and wire them that way, as well as tap into your turn signal wire in the door sills.
finding out the right color, just take off cover for the rear tailight and see what color is for blinker then tap into it as door sills area
gl, definitely a must do thing on w202, and 96-99 w210

i think leetec is looking for pinouts, guys...so that he can fabricate and match
up proper connection for the servos. the blinker hookup, by comparison, is
pretty straight forward.

Well Main problem is my original mirror fogged up and the yellow stuff has melted out somehow, and on top of that the motor broke for my driver side. Thats why I bought a 00+ blinking mirror set thinking it could be easily swapped. But so far I ruled out 4 wires going to the heated feature. But I'll have to play around with the other 7 wires. The connectors match on the 00 + motor to my 97 mirror connector But as you know the pins aren't in the right place to power the motor. I'm looking for the wiring diagram for the 97 and 00+ mirror connector. Anyone have a clue where I can find that? I know I downloaded something years back that show some wiring for the 97 benz but after a couple of hard drive crashes I've lost those PDFs already. There was a site that had DIY info plus videos somewhere..
