It indicates the alarm is armed...and happens when you have locked the car using the key fob.

Just be careful and read the manual----look in the anti theft section. The light is blinking because the system is armed---open a door or hood and hear what happens.

What a poor common sense and sense of help to all of us. if you guys like to say your "Read The Fuggin Manual" what are you provide to the forum? what are you making or contributing here?, but i respect your oppinion about.. I remember you some people buy cars used WITHOUT the owners manual.. You have the knowledge about the led or so, some people not. And this is why we make question... to get answers

MBWorld Fanatic!
there is a finesse in how we help: feed them or show them how to fish ....
all the while without sounding like an ***. if it's the latter, then i would suggest
it's better not to post. sometimes, tough love can be the most helpful thing we
do.
case in point: on the other forum, someone asked how to lower the rear headrest
in their sedan. i suggested that it's in the owner's manual...and pasted the page.

The headrest lowering thread on the other side was indeed strange...so I didn't answer because I wasn't sure if one of the headrests was stuck. Another forum failure is to give too little info to allow a reasonable question.

Didn't mean to cause a ruckus. Bought car used with no manual. Trying to find one on eBay. Previous owner never mentioned alarm. I had never approached the car from the rear before last night and was surprised to see blinking led. Thank you all for the help.
