What tires to get?
Continental ContiExtremeContact for everyday drive in California with speed not exceeding 65m/h. Any suggestions?
Edit: just forgot to add that the car has V8 engine.

It was rated high in wet/dry driving, comfort and spirited driving, and they didnt break the bank.
Good luck with your selection!

I have been a Goodyear Eagle fan for a lot of years and I have also heard that those F1 are good but they are pretty expensive. On my last MB ('98 E430) I had the Goodyear Assurance Comfort Tread (not exactly cheap either) but I didn't have the car long enough to really rate them. Those puppies have an 80,000 mile warranty!
Goodyear, using the same technology as the Comfort Tread, also makes a Triple Tread that I like the looks of. I might try a set of those on another car, and if I like them, might also try them on the Benz.
Good Luck!

Compared to the ContiProContact, the ContiExtremeContact is more performance oriented, so you would expect more noise, harder ride, and shorter tread life but better handling. The extremes might be better in snow.
I think the V speed rating (149 MPH) of the pros compared to the W speed rating (168 MPH) of the extremes is trivial on a car that is speed limited to 130 MPH and "for everyday drive in California with speed not exceeding 65m/h." Speed ratings are only loosely related to handling capabilities at normal (in the USA) speeds.
