Please post your 19" wheel/tire specs IF YOU ARE LOWERED and DON'T RUB

Hi all,
Still really new here, but I'm desperately trying to piece together the OPTIMAL wheel combo. I've looked through old posts... and some people say you can't do an 8.5 with a 35 offset up front without hitting your control arms... while others say they are running that combo with plenty of space left over.

If you are running 19's, have NOT modified your fenders, are lowered more than an inch, and do NOT own an E55, would you please post your wheel and tire specs?

I'm looking for Wheel Width and Offset as well as Tire Brand/Model and Tire Size.

I do not want to modify my fenders (ie, roll them or cut them).... and do not want to tolerate any rubbing on the fender or interior suspension pieces. I will be runnin H&R's and Bilstein's with #1 pads up front and #2's in the rear.

Thank you very much in advance!
J.J.

If you run that suspension combo with 19's you may get away with no fender mods and no rubbing if you run a 235 up front and a 265 rear. That is what I run.

I have #1 pads, H&R race/cup kit 19x9's and 19x10's. partial fender roll up front. Zero rub in the rear. Springs have settled. I have to be careful when entering or exiting a driveway or I will get a hint of rub. The car handles as well or better than my Saleen Mustangs.

If this is the look you want then you have to pay if you want to play. I don't know the offsets of my wheels. The reason I can run such large wheels with only a small amount of front fender roll is that the set of DPE wheels were made for a W210 E, CLK.

Thanks so far guys! If you do find out your offsets, please let us know as well since that will probably be a big factor here.

Best advice I can offer you, since I used to do this to all of my car, before I graduated from school and had to meet business associates, and clients for lunch...

If you "roll you fenders" you can fit up to .5' inches larger than what they tell you.

But go to a car customization that knows what they are doing and has the proper tools.

Good luck

Well.... I've just lowered my car with H&R's with #1 pads in the front and #2's in the rear (my rear's actually came with #1's from the factory).

My rims are sitting in boxes in the garage...... 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 with +35 offsets...

My tires BETTER be here this week! But they are 235/35's and 275/30's.... From what I've read... most say I'm probably going to rub..... while others say that it shouldn't be a problem..... If I do rub I hope it's just a few MINOR adjustments.... Like BARELY shaving that infamous bolt and rolling the fender only slightly.

Just waiting for my WALD kit and I'll be done

Wish me luck!

also if you stretch tire and run low offset you could easily run a 10.5 or an 11 in the rear. Ill post pics of my setup later tonight

I would like to see a pic of your car with the H&R's with #1's upfront and #2's in the rear. Would like to see how it sits. My springs are on the way and I'm thinking of what pads to go for the rear.

Not the greatest pics in the world.... but here's the car from just a few minutes ago.... Wish the car was a little lower..actually I wish the tire gap was smaller (I don't necessarily want the car to be on the ground)... but I know I'm going to expect a little settling... so we'll see what happens in a couple of months and once I actually put the the rims on.

The driver's side rear is a little off though... by about 5mm-10mm...... I'm hoping that it settles.... if it doesn't, I wonder if you can mix spring pads on the same axle..... anyone?

As far as ride quality... honestly... on these stock rims/tires, I think the car rides BETTER than stock... still a luxurious ride, but now handling is improved and I don't seem as "floaty" as before.... which is a good thing!

Oh yeah I also installed some Bilstein Sports at the same time that I did the H&R's.

Unfortunately, I'm just going with some cheap 19" AMG Replicas I don't think they ever made any REAL ones that would fit the w210 without any spacers or modification....

I just hope these rims balance well once I get the tires mounted

Can you say bye bye to that luxurious ride I mentioned a couple of posts above (on stock tires).

If these REALLY suck, I'll plunk down some change for something else i like......

It looks really nice! I though that back would have been a lil higher than the front since you went with #2's in the rear. The front might settle down a bit in due time...keep us updated.
