Need Help Passenger Side Mirror Replacement
Hello,
I need to change the passenger side mirror on my wife's 1998 E320 wagon. Autohausaz has aftermarket for the drivers side but not the passenger. So its off to the stealer I go !
Does anyone know what is involved (or have a DYI link) for removing and replacing the passenger side exterior mirror assembly ?
And does anyone have a used one they want to sell me ?
Thanks so much.

you're talking about the whole package, right? (mirror, motor, bracket, cover)
should be quite easy (from memory)
1) fold mirror unit back to expose hinge innards
2) manipulate locking spring....slide plastic cover off
3) (3) phillips screws to remove. while continuing to fold mirror unit against
the door, remove top screw, then lower, inside screw.
4) then, allow mirror to return to normal position.
5) use long shaft phillips and remove lower outside screw
6) carefully unplug two weather proof electrical fittings
I was lucky enough to have picked up a immaculate pair on MBWorld for $85 shipped.
So scan the classifieds...as well as Ebay.

Raymond thanks for the directions and advice Ohlord.
Anyone ever tackle adding the late model W210 side mirrors with turn signal lamps to an older car ? (1998) that did not have them from the factory. Just curious.
Thanks gents.

pretty basic mod. i managed to do my 99 with help from jimmydagreek's notes
from years back....which you'll see mixed in with mine. it's much less daunting
than it appears, as the wiring from the LED light array is only twin lead: one
goes to hot lead (switched turn signal under door sill) and the other goes to
GROUND.

Replace side mirror spring
I have a 1999 E430 and my side passenger mirror spring came off, can anyone tell me how to put the spring back? How do you remove the mirror cover? Raymond I like your PDF instructions, where can I view the MBUSA video to remove and replace this spring? Thank you very much!
