Code 02

Any idea what triggers code 02? the chart says "Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit Range/Performance". This is Greek to me, what do I look for?

He did. It's P0002.

I think he's asking for help explaining the DTC description he's posted.

Well, if anyone knows what it might mean, it's him.

BTW, was this a pending code you found or was the Check Engine Light on? If it was a pending code and the car seems to be running fine, just erase it and then check after to a few driving cycles to see if it comes back. Often they don't.

Yes, the check engine lite was on which was due to the 2 other codes indicating that the MAF sensor needed replacing. I have been cleaning the MAF sensor and erasing the codes several times and now I replaced it with one purchased from Autohaus. Now I am hoping that that ends the CEL problem but I still don't know what the P002 code was and it probably won't reappear but I wanted to be prepared if it should return. Thanks for all your help.

Interpreting the codes is a experience driven process. Also, the code errors sometimes cascade. That is, a code for one error trips a second error which would not have occurred except for the first. So you may not get the P0002 after the MAF replacement.

Good luck.
