Just for ****s-n-giggles, how much does the transmission cost for a 99 e430?
Plus labor?? I need to make out a receipt?

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
not even in the ball park

Before tax,rebuilt exchange 2500 and change plus 1000 core deposit plus r/r fluids gaskets and sundry items $1200 labor + the add in parts they ding you+tax $4100.And that's for rebuilt exchange....

Ok the reason Im asking is cuz, I just received a letter from the Buearu Of enforcement planning, analysis and discovery of Pennsylvania (thats where the car is registered) and the price i put in on the paper work is not the fair market value which they rated at $13,550.00. So I am under investigation right now, until i provide proof of any sort that states what was wrong with the car, when i bought it for the price i stated. So naturally I am trying to get some prices.

Try if you can to get a letter from the seller,stating the value of the vehicle,they dont even have to sign it.have them write down what work may have been needed to be done now and in the near future.Dings,tires,maf,trans,just estimates.we used to have stated value and then they switched to a user tax and they set the value,i bought private party way under book,so i had him give me that note,every defect ding anything and the car was mint and got the value down to 6500.00 the stated prices for used cars are out of nada values which are for a car in show room condition.
good luck with the battle. Try to spread the expenses around,after all no red flags,a maf at the dealer r/r, my pet peeve,could be $800,a large chunk of your justification of price.
