Loud Thump Under the car
Ok heres the scenario :
when I drive like a human being(grandpa) everything is fine.
But when I try to take off a light, or im making a left or right turn from a dead stop, and hit the gad hard, i can feel kind of a tug from what feels like a transmission movement. The shifter dosent move thou. And when i let go the gas, thats when i hear the clunk?
While holding the left foot on the dead pedal, while doing this, I can feel as if someone hit under the fender with a rubber mallet.
I was thinking its a motor mount, or trany mount, can it be.
Also after doing this a couple of times the car begun and still is running a little ruff while at idle (shakes while ideling). And i think its a bit louder after that night, might of loosened the cat i recently installed maybe??

sounds as if you may need new engine mounts. Pop the hood and have someone press the gas. Observe if the engine is loose and wobbles more than it looks like it should.

up on a lift and check the u joints,cv joints on rear axles,and as above check for broken motor mounts,a fairly common issue.At a stop shift from park to rev and park to drive and drive to reverse,write down how it sounds and have someone try to locate the sound.Like you point out sounds like someone hit under the fender,which fender?Should be fairly easy to locate,trying the above and then fixing it will be another post,soon to be asked by you,right?before you go to the dealer and ask why did I do that,later!
