look "pal" the only real time i open my car is on a 13 mile strech of barren island called jones beach. now i do open my car and when i do, i enjoy the ride quality. So please, if you got nothing good to say leave this thread. ask sleeper x how fast he takes his car, ask any of the NYC'rs how we drive. please leave me alone.

Vogtlands are very stiff and have a very harsh ride so make sure you like that. I believe they are more for race than street. Also, I have heard a lot of negative things about the KYB's, people are calling these "K-eep Y-our B-ilsteins" lol. Do your research and ask plenty of questions. Good luck and let us know...

Agreed Vogtlands are very low and stiff, typically. KYB's are "ok" shocks... I think eibach and bilstein would be a better choice

And doing 130mph on public roads is illegal and dumb, but your 18, go figure. I just hope you get arrested and lose your license before you hurt yourself or others...

Ever hear of Involuntary manslaughter? Try looking up how many people get convicted of it from speeding/reckless driving and accidentally killing someone.

It's nothing personal, you're just doing really stupid things... I'm positive t 99% of NYC drivers do not drive that fast, and the fact that a select number of other morons "may" do it does not justify it.

Hey J**k Off

I grew up on Long Island!Spent my senior prom night on Jones Beach,Honed my driving skills,Street racing, westbury, hempstead turnpike, clearview expway,That was in the late 1960's,no one was on the road back in those days, when we took a motion nova down robert moses at 145,so before you admonish,if you are old enough to know what the word means,Check who you're talking to.And with the 24/7 traffic on those roads now and the condition of the road bed at j.b. as I observed while visiting last year,(Crappy)I doubt you have ever gone anywhere near the mentioned speed, probably speedo error, from the pimped tires.............

I don't understand why you are boasting about going 130 mph, that is dangerous... Anyway back to the real topic...

I have bilsteins+eibach spring combo and it works nicely for me. It is a bit harsh at times, but it at least it is softer than then bilstein+h and r combination.

I have this combo too but haven't installed yet. I hope if will be as you say, a bit smoother with the Eibachs than the H&R that I had before...

Back to the suspension issue

Do you guys see the rusty bolts on his suspension swing arms? When they let go ,at the above mentioned 130 he's going to be on mr. toads wild ride. The city that never sleeps,is because they have to be alert when Tg is on the road.

For the original post: I just put H&R's on with bilesteins HD's. It Firmed up the ride a good bit, their in no more wiggle at speed if you know what i mean. I dont think the ride is harsh compared to my fathers 06 jetta with 17's. I measured the drop before and after 2 weeks i have a 25mm drop front and rear. I am also coming from a sportline setup. Overall I am very happy with the new setup. I have alot less roll in high speed corners. And as for doing 130 on public roads sh** happens realy fast. Maybe you should go to a Track.

When dropped, the car wont be as floaty over 120MPH anymore. Stay glued to the road and get some good tires too man.

thanks, as for rusty bolts, thats common on any car parked outside, but i guess by that logic, rust on a disk brake means you replace the disk. as for 130 on ****ty roads i'll make a video of jones beach then.

No

logic means that rust on a steel brake rotor is surface rust that burns off with friction on application of the brakes, rusty bolts are iron non - moving structural items, when they rust they get weak and fail, you lose, game over.As to the 130 video,if is is as far off as your o-60 really o-45 video in a paltry 5.5 seconds,no need to see it,besides you trying to prove 130 on Ocean parkway, would expose relatives we have in West Babylon to undue carnage and gore. Thanks anyway..

Doesn't rust on the rotor mean you haven't driven it for a period of time? I could of sworn once you drive down the street and use your breaks (if you do) then it just comes right off. No?

I moved to TX from OH 10 years ago, and have all but forgotten about rust. Nice that I didn't have to worry about the broken bolts and extra labor when I had my shop. Thanks for giving me nightmares tonight!

When you make the video, have a shot of yourself in there so we can send it to the local PD

OH,I forgot

By all means shoot the video, the worlds gene pool needs to be reduced from the defective, fool hardy, careless, mutated gene, that expresses itself every once in awhile in people that drive on the roads like they think they are at sears point.
Say hello to Charles Darwin.....
