Help needed.
For the past week my car a 97 E320 that just hit 90k miles has been randomly turning off on me while driving and giving me a message on the dash that says El Traction. ETS ... if anyone knows the possible cause of this your feedback will be much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure
that the car is stalling first and then the ets light comes on ,correct?
They are cause and effect, the engine is cutting out which makes the car think it has lost traction and the ets light comes on.So you need to solve the stalling problem. No check engine light?Could be your cps is faulty and that will cause stalling. If it failed you would be going nowhere. The ecu needs the cps values to trigger the ignition and the fuel injectors,if you have no code,CEL,for the cps it is just about as much work to check it with a digital multimeter as it is to just throw in a new one.Cheap at autohausaz.com and diy on benzworld.org w210 forum under diy.
hope this helps answer your problem,
