lamp malfunction warning
The other day I saw a the defective lamp warning and didn't really notice anything wrong as all the lights seemed to work fine. This morning, no warning message but I turned on lights but none of the exterior lamps work. This is on a 99 e320 4matic wagon. Any advice wd be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There are either 2 or 4 6watt bulbs in the tail lights. Barely noticeable. I had the "lamp malfunction" warming for about a month before i was annoyed enough to pull out the tail lights and check on it.

The slightly trickier one is the brake lights, you don't get the malfunction when you start the car, just when you tap the brakes the first time and it stays on, then when you walk around your car with all the lights on they all seem fine because you don't have a foot on the brake to see the bad light.
