If anyone wants the hood its yours for 125 + shipping. Its what i paid for it, so take it off my hand and its yours. It need about another 2 hours or so, of grinding around the headlight, but it can be mounted. It also needs to be grounded around the right headlight for fitment, i'll post pics whenever i go out to longisland.

It's a simple man who judges one by what they drive. You make the assumption that one can only make enough money to afford a 99 E320 wagon. Many of us here drive a car similar to this. Using this logic a majority don't measure up.

I guess those of us that have these vehicles cannot afford the homes, 401k's, 529's (tax deferred college savings plans for children), vacations, eating out...you see where this is going.

Individuals like TommyGunn I feel bring down the forum as a whole and turn away many desirable members. This in turn affects site hits, revenue, quantity/quality of available information, etc.

I wish the moderators would take some of these concerns into consideration. Personally, I'm getting sick and tired of jouvenilles posting of illegal actions, offensive content, and primarily idiodic posts.

It's a free world so let them go do it on some "kids" board, and give this one back some of its lost dignity.

Really? I found it amusing...of course, that wasn't me in the race...and if it hit too close to home, my apologies for offending.

I'm sorry my attempt to add some levity to this unfortunate thread was met with such a childish reaction. Unlike our young friend "TG"...I'm a bit older...and you won't be able to drag me into a fight with you...quite so easily.

I will leave you with this...having read many of your helpful posts on this forum...I'm rather disappointed to see such an active (and elder) participant acting out in such a way.

Let's all chip in a few bucks and buy OhLord a NOS system, a 75 shot should offset the Chinese carbon fiber hood and the ricer muffler advantage TommyGunn has. Wait, never mind. A tank of 93 octane and maybe check the tire pressure, and it's OhLord for the win.

If it is the Plexiglas hood that cost 50 bucks,was custom molded just for you and came from the same place in queens n.y. that tommy got his quality carbon fiber hood.So if it's not all of the above,I'll pass.Maybe tommy needs a clear hood made of Plexiglas,so he can show off his C36 motor, without having to open his hood,which apparently he hasn't been able to figure out,so we can all see his mystery motor.

I remember being 17 and doing some crazy things to my cars at the time...an intoxication inspired set of racing stripes on a certain Firebird come to mind.

I have to cut "TG" some credit...he's one up on me...at least he's screwing up nice cars at his age...instead of the trash I was screwing up.

That being said...I just don't get having a hood that doesn't match. If you're a race car driver and your sponsors give it to you...and it helps you accomplish your job of winning races...I get it. If it's to shave 20lbs off of an old mans sedan...I'm still at a complete loss.

I'll try and find a car to skool in an illegal street race on the way home from my the office today...after all, my E320 has something so much more exciting than a composite hood...
