Wassup New to the forums need advice
hey everybody been looking through the forums and finding good information. Just wanted to get your guy's opinion on a 98 e320 that im interested in buying it has 68,000 miles and she is asking $8,500 it's a black on black and she is the 2nd owner.
what do you guy's think what should I look for/ask her

wow, that's a low mileage car! I have an 02 with 63k miles.
$8500 is not too bad but make sure the car is free of major problems. Likewise, check 1) CAT exhaust if they are loose 2) transmission module to see if it shifts smoothly from 1st to 2nd. I had that problem and replaced under warranty. 3) rear window regulator--I heard a lot of folks here experienced rear windows are not coming back up. 4) any ball bearings/joints that are loose or broken. Here are just a few.
I would take it to a reputable Benz shop to have a tech look over the car. Also, ask her for records of the maintenance the car had performed in the past.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Make sure
the recall work was done on the harmonic balancer if it was a recall serial number,you can check with the dealer.Rust issues,spring perches need to be inspected and around doors and trunk.You might get her down another 500 if you try.
With the new benz out the 98 is now a ten year old car.

have it inspected ,unless you are qualified to do it yourself.Time spent know making sure it is a good car is money saved later on..........
