Smoked an E350 lastnight....
So i was driving on the freeway last night on my way home going at about 60mph, then this all black w211 e350 pulls up and jerks his car at me. I ignored him thinkin that he would smoke me if i tried to race him. So i said screw it and we both hit the pedal to the floor. As most of you know our w210s always downshift hard, i pulled on him so hard i left him about 2 cars behind. I am not sure on the engine specs of the W211 but i assume they pack more power than my e320. Well just though id share that with you guys, im proud of our W210s

I drove a car once to a exhaust shop with a brand new engine, no hood, exhaust manifolds and absolutely no exhaust and had a brand new exhaust head to toe built. the ride home was a lot better than the drive there, but I think some of the people on this site would like to drive around like that all the time in a merz. I did notice my car had factory stainless tubular exhaust manifolds though.

maybe its because a mercedes e320 ISN'T a race car. justa guess. I want to hear some pinto racing stories. you think the coupe would take the wagon? unless the coupe gets hit in the a$$ and explodes.

actually I liked capris when they came out. sporty interior and decent shapes. it was suppose to be a take off of the earlier mustangs because mustangs by that time were large. you never see them anymore at all. I saw one rotting in the weeds in the dalles a couple of months ago. a lot of older cars rusting away in fields out there. I bet there's only like 8 left in the world, and one butchered one that this speed racer has that pulls like a ****. I just rebuilt the "Quadra-toilet" carb on my caddie today and it runs great. I wouldn't go as far saying it pulls like a ****, but my gas mileage is probably better than a ****.

715rwhp> the 450rwhp you're lucky to get from a 347
some stats for you: 8.6cr 283ci forged shortblock, stock heads, blower cams, ported intake, 20psi from a intercooled novi 2000, t-56 6 speed, 4.30 gears, etc, etc, etc.

I have two comments on this thread.
1 - Oliverk: That's one helluva blower on your 'stang. In fact, that's one helluva motor, period. Even if you had a carbon fiber hood...I'd be impressed (please, tell me you don't!).
2 - Ohlord: You're right on. I saw the subject of this thread and thought it was about how to smoke in an E350...which is obvious...very carefully.
OK, I'll put a hamilton down on anyone that wants to race me up my street tonight. In fact, if I lose (I will...I drive a 10 year old E320!)...I'll even post the winners' kill story on this forum for him/her/it.
If no one is going to take me up on my offer to race up my street...then no more kill stories.

Sorry
Can't make it to Iowa tonight, and I make it a strict policy not to race on the street anymore.
Another policy of mine is only fair races,I would not feel right taking a hamilton from someone with a Bad transmission or any loud squealing emmiting from under the hood.
Can't take anymore tommyboy excuses of I would have won,or could of won,or would liked to have won,but my car was making a funny noise that day.
And I usually don't take part in the kill stories, except to weed out the rifraf(tommy) I do my kills on the track.
