I would like to know what offsets you are running on your 8.5" fronts? Thanks in advanced for the Help.

I'm running ET37 but it is very close to the ball joint. I am planning on swapping out to ET35. I have 245 tires. 235's would probably give me the same clearance as swapping to ET35

 

Dam i would of thought there were more than 1 person with 18" or 19". I have a pair of 18x8.5 ET38 and was trying to caluclate if i needed spacers. I Talked with Raymond we agree its going to be close. I put one on last night with a 245 to check clearance it was really close I am still waiting on the new lugs so i can bolt them up for good. Any one know off hand what the front wheel offset is on a 18" 210 55 wheel?

* Special Edition: 17 x 8” ET35
* E55: 18 x 8” ET31 front, 18 x 9” ET35 rear.

ET is a German abbreviation for offset, more or less, where the number is in mm and indicates amount of offset. This ETxx is usually stamped on the inside of OEM rims for easy reference.

The bolt pattern is 5x112 (12mm x 1.5 lugs), with an offset range of 30-40mm, a wheel size range of 16"x6.0" to 20"x8.5" . This is the same bolt pattern as most Mercedes, including the previous E-Class (W124). The newer Mercedes, including the 2003 to the present E-Class (W211), have 14mm lugs, making the wheels less interchangable between those with 14mm lugs and 12mm lugs (although aftermarket lugs are available to be used for this purpose).

 

Thanks Ohlord. My 17x8 sport wheels have are ET37 with my calculations of offsets for the new wheel 18x8.5 ET38 the backspacing difference is 7.35mm is this correct? Yes they are 211 sport Wheels 10 split. I have the RAD bolts on the way with a 5mm spacer for the front. I called the dealership and they said the would fit.

Close.Fit,weight test(a couple of buddies)crank wheels side to side,test drive with those buddies on board.With 18's you may have to roll those fender lips.Lots of people running 18 and bigger it is just every tire and wheel combo is different.Your ride is going to change for the worse and your tire budget is going to go up with the fewer miles you will get on the 18's,but hey it's only money and we only get one go round,so why not enjoy it.........

ET35 for my brabus monoblock V 19"

 

19x8.5", ET31, 235 tires, car lowered with Eibachs and #1 pads. No rubbing with P-Zero Rossos before but very slight fender rubbing (on one side) on occassions (downhill/braking or quick dip on the road + slight turn) with the broader shouldered Advan Sports.

8.5" width with ET38+5mm spacers i.e. ET33 will be very close with any brand of 245 tire (maybe too close). 235's would be a better bet.

I assume this is a typo? 335 should probably be 235 and 345 should be 245??

ET/width specs? for future searchers

 

18x8.5 +35... all around.... 235/40's... I did put a 5MM spacer on the rear because the lugs I had were a little too long and were interfering with the parking brake.

Have enough space that I wish I had gone with 245's

 

I got the RAD lugs and the 5.5mm spacer this morning so I went out and put one of the fronts on at Lunch to see if it cleared it did so i drove it around the parking lot and no rubbing so far, there is less than 1/4" clearance. here is a picture from lunch. I will post more when I get the rest put on tonight and get the car cleaned this weekend. Let me know what you think.

 

From the back it looks like it might rub when you turn the steering wheel AND the front drops for whatever reason - additional load, hitting a dip in the road or speed bumps, braking while coasting downhill etc, at least on the left side side. Since our cars are not completely symmetrical it might be worst or better on the other side. That's just what I suspect because my rubbing side doesn't stick out as much as you but you might get away with it since your's is riding higher than mine. In any case, rolling the fenders might fix it if it does rub.
