1997 E420 Codes PO150 & PO410

Recently put a new gas cap, wd40'd the purge valve, new O2 sensors x4, & new fuel pressure regulator - the thing was running like a top at 105,000 miles. I did these things because of some active codes and a warm restart issue [fuel regulator] and CEL lite [O2 sensors and fuel vaccum leak]. Now I've got PO150 [#2 upstream O2 heater] and PO410 [Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction] codes and the damndest surging of idle from 600-1,500 RPM when warm. Turning on the defroster seems to quell the surge sympton. No MAF code, no CEL. Can anyone help? Best regards, EricW in Walla Walla.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
drivers side O2 sensor 1

make sure it did not get damaged in the r/r.Careful with any anti seize to make sure it is not near the tip.Look for vac leaks, clear the codes and see what comes back.spray some crc brand maf cleaner into the purge valve and the tubes and let it evap before reinstalling, the wd40 may have pooled up in it.

"GOT CODES?"
when you are in richland get the centek scanner at harborfreighttools #94169,
you will use it for this job and in the future.Nice addition to any diy tool kit.
clear the codes, check the pending codes, and look for vac leaks.Keep us posted.

O.K. ohlord, I'll get that tool! I went by Autozone yesterday afternoon, they didn't find any codes. I had them erase the PO105 & PO410 the day before. Did lots of around-town driving in between. It is still surging, now up to 2,000+ RPM. I'll do the CRC MAF cleaner thing on the purge valve & will clean the MAF Sensor also. If I continue to get no codes, what could this be? I've looked for vacuum leaks and find none. Best regards, EricW in Walla Walla.
