Good Deal?
Looking to buy my first MB. A local dealer, not MB, has a 2002 E430 4Matic with all options including navigation for 22.9K. The vehicle has 50K miles and looks great. No dings or dents. A slight scuff in the front bumper but that's it. The black interior looks great.
So, is this a good deal? Would this still be under MB warranty?
Thanks in advance.

doesn't look like too great of a deal.
a 2002 E430 w/ 50K miles would definitely be out of warranty by now, unless it was CPO'd which would extend the factory warranty to 100K miles..
23 tho is way to much.
like the make: drive several models 99-02 320 and 430's private party, low miles, well maintained ,inspect, inspect, inspect

low mile 99-00 can be had for 9-11k.So shop around and take your time.
2002 Mercedes-Benz E430 Excellent Condition - $15900
2002 Mercedes E430 - $16,000 60k miles
2001 E430 Original Owner 78000 - $14000
2001 E320 Mercedes Benz very clean! 58k miles - $14,000 obo
I'm located in CT and the car is sitting at a local Audi/Porsche dealer. I probably see if they would take a much lower price after I drive it. Otherwise, I guess I just need to keep searching.

If you find a low mile 50-90tho in an 99-01 and it is in good shape well maintained and you get it inspected,it is not a gamble to buy private.Dealer price plus an aftermarket warranty and you are twice the value of the car plus finance.Buy cash, learn diy, drive happy

Man you are preaching to the choir. If a Mercedes is inspected by a competent inspector and has been shown by inspection to have all maint and operational issues in place and the car is bought well at the right price(bargain)then you will be a happy owner and in the few cases that you do have to do a repair you won't feel bad because you are way ahead of the guy who paid to much in the first place, financed it because the dealer priced it 5-7 thousand over market, and pays out the ying yang every time he pulls onto the dealer s lot.

So if a E430 with low mileage and in great condition should be around 16K, what will the 4matic add to the price? Another 1K?
