pics of w210 with 17 inch rims?

I'm looking into buy a facelift E430 W210. It comes with the 17 inch e430 sport rims, however I really don't like the way they look and want to change them. My current E320 has 18 inch rims with bilstein and eibach. The car i'm looking into has bilsteing/eibach combo as well, but 17 inch rims. Will the ride be much smoother? Does anyone have pictures of a W210 car with 17 inch rims other than stock? I preferably want pics of 17 inch rims on cars that are lowered, but any pictures are appreciated. Thanks

Nate

Here's mine with the 17" from the Limited Edition W210, with Bilstein HD shock.

I don't see any significant different between 17 and 18. I think the difference also depend on tire and shock.

Big different in handling & ride between 16 and larger, I think most have to do with how the sidewall of the W210 16" (regular, 55/60), and 17/19/19 (low profile, 45 or less)

hmmm 17s don't look bad. I might get the same rims as in my signature, but chrome 17inch so I can keep the same tires on the e430 I might get. Also, Zam, I will probably also want to upgrade the headlight to 00-02 projectors, maybe xenon too. But I can't find where to purchase normal depos anymore, I bought mine on ebay. They have these ones that look like depos on ebay, and are xenon, but the price most likely shows the quality lol.

I doubt they are actually xenon too lmao

Any more pictures of 17 inch rims on lowered w210s?

current options may include...

option 1

option 2

i've had experience with both in supplying Depo headlights for my 210 conversions.
satisfied with shipping and speed from both vendors

do you know where I can get xenon pre installed in them? If I'm going to pay someone to remove the front bumper since it is a facelifted w210, i feel the need to put the best in.

Will these require any other work besides plug and play?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-ME...4771QQtcZphoto

Also, the box thingy with the wires coming out of it, i heard that gets hot. In these headlights, where does that get mounted? I'm really confused on the anatomy of xenon headlights lol. Whenever I see these kits, I have no idea where everything goes.

Here's my 2001 lowered with Eibach springs, Koni shocks, AMG 17" wheels in 8.5 width. Pic is for insurance adjuster of the other guy... getting fixed week after Thanksgiving.

There is only about 1/2" space between rear tire and fender, but it never scrapes. There was over 1" when I first installed the Eibachs but over 50,000 is settled lower.

** my photo won't upload... I'll retry later **

Here's mine with W211 Sport Package wheels. Compared to my previous 16" setup, these ride and handle better, but I think I may have lost +/- 3 MPG on the freeway.

E430 4Matic
Here's my E430 4-matic with 17" MB Rims from an S600 that i bought on e-bay for $250. The pics with the hood open are from Mercedes Benz Club of America German Day back in September 2007 in Brookline, MA. I also included a photo of a rare Blue E55 with newer AMG style rims. I believe these rims are 18's, but if you like the style, they are available in 17" and chrome finish.

Good Luck!

Dave
